I create unique worlds that inspire curiosity & exploration
• Work closely with Directors and 3D Lead to manage the asset pipeline from production art to Unreal Engine, while actively pursuing ways to improve the process.
• Support creation of game assets and all related components, including: Design roughs, visual prototypes (levels), low poly geometry, instance placement (where applicable), UVs/texture maps/shader networks, initial collisions to support gameplay programming, and rigging assets in preparation for animations when needed
• Optimize scene lighting/baking, shaders, and identify problem areas that might weigh on performance.
• Work directly with team members to gather resources and identify needs.
• Iterate on past designs based on feedback from the director.
• Create 3D environments and assets using real time and pre rendered workflows in 3DS Max
• Work with consumer packaged goods companies, such as Target and Newell Brands, to concept visual ideas and present them in virtual 3D environments
• Provide high quality projects and animations in our virtual reality software
• Create motion graphics that convey the client's story creatively and accurately
• Managed a foreign outsourcing team for assistance with quick turnaround projects
• Model, Texture, Rig, and animate environments, props, & characters in Autodesk Maya for use in our educational games built with Unity 3D
• Work with a diverse team of artists, programmers, and designers to create highly polished and playable products
• Help tutor and develop student’s 3D art skills through our internship process with the Digital Innovation Institute and Lansing Community College classes
